The Swedish Amerikalinjen invited to a poster competition in 1952. Just over 700 artists, both professionals and amateurs, felt called. One of these was Inga-Greta Solbreck-Möller. Her entry didn't win the contest but it did make it into the top 10 and she likely got paid a penny for the trouble. Fritjof Pedersen won with a poster called "The Swan", which you can of course also find in our shop. So when we discover this original at Inga-Greta's daughter's house, it is an original that was never printed in any edition and it is with ill-concealed pride that we can display this wonderful poster with the handsome dude sitting on the deck and really enjoying life. His hat is the ship's chimney and the cigarette hangs from the corner of his mouth. Have a good time!
